Parkrun to return as England moves into Stage 4 of lockdown easing
THE planned re-opening of parkrun events can now go ahead after the government confirmed England would be moving into Stage Four of the easing of lockdown on Monday.
After a number of delays due to not enough landowner permissions and then the Delta variant of Covid-19, parkrun, including Stratford's, will now be able to returned as planned on Saturday, 24th July.
Nick Pearson, chief executive of parkrun Global, said: “The work of the Mass Participations Sports Organisers has ensured our much-loved events can return and we invite everyone to take part – join your local parkrun, enter one of the nation’s iconic events and think about raising funds for the charity of your choice.
"We can’t wait to welcome back our parkrun family to 5k events in England.”
