Stratford Town Football Club have signed Stan Anaebonam and Brad Burton

New signing Stan Anaebonam is ready to show what he's capable of after agreeing to join Stratford Town for the coming campaign.

The Norwegian winger has committed to the Bards ahead of the new Southern League Premier Division Central campaign.

He has previously played for Stafford Rangers, Gloucester City and Stourbridge and his full focus is now on helping bring success to the Bards.

Anaebonam said: "I'm buzzing to be at Stratford and part of a team that plays attractive football on probably the best pitch in the league and is seriously pushing for the title.

"The last couple of seasons haven't gone how I wanted with injuries and, honestly, I've let myself down at times.

"I'm fully focused this year, hungry to show what I'm capable of and ready to be the best version of myself alongside a team that's driven for success."

Anaebonam is the fourth new arrival at the Arden Garages Stadium following the earlier acquisitions of Henry Landers, Harry Reilly and Brad Burton.

Landers has joined from National League North side Leamington with Reilly being recruited from league rivals Banbury.

Fellow newcomer Burton has previously played for Alvechurch and Redditch and was a product of the youth set-up at Aston Villa.

Burton said: "I'm delighted to be here and join a good group of lads.

"Last season was a frustrating one for me so I'm coming with a point to prove.

"With the direction that the club wants to go, I feel like it's the best place for me to kick on."

A number of players from last season's Stratford squad has also committed to another campaign.

Young player of the year Fin Brennan, Calum Flanaghan and goalkeeper Jake Weaver have followed on from

Lewis Ludford-Ison, wingers Owen James and Jamie Molyneux, fans' favourite Dan Vann and Jack Storer.

Ludford-Ison is the manager of the Stratford Town Academy side who have been accepted into the National League for the new season.

He said: "We're incredibly proud of this.

"From day one, my vision was to see us competing at this level by the upcoming season and achieving that goal is a major milestone.

"We have worked relentlessly on recruitment and development and this accomplishment reflects the ambition, growth and high standards we're building here.

"It's an exciting step forward for the Academy and everyone involved."

Home matches will follow against Rugby Town (July 8), Solihull Moors (July 12) and Bishops Cleeve (July 15).

Championship outfit Birmingham City will send a side over to the Arden Garages Stadium on July 19 before Loughborough Students visit three days later.

A trip to Hungerford Town awaits the Bards on July 26 before further home friendlies against Racing Club Warwick (July 29) and Brackley Town (August 2).
