New captain gets into the swing of it

STRATFORD-on-Avon Golf Club welcomed their new club captain Brent Harding into his term of captaincy last Sunday.
After a glass of champagne to settle the nerves, Harding teed off first in front of the membership, sweeping the ball off the tee down the fairway.
More than 100 members then competed in a pairs’ event, where David Walker and Tom Hansen narrowly edged out Stewart Good and John Yapp to win on a countback result both scoring 46 points.
James White and Norman Haslam were a further shot back on 45.
With a busy competition and social calendar for 2016, new skipper Harding is thoroughly looking forward to the year ahead.
