WARWICKSHIRE triathlon squad Do3 claimed podium places at the St Moritz Triathlon during its week-long training cap in the Swiss Alps.

Racing at altitude, the St Moritz Triathlon was made up of a 500m lake swim, 20km mountainous bike and 7km off-road run.

Corinne Moss was third in her age group and fourth overall, while Jemima Cooper took gold in her category and was third woman overall amongst a highly competitive field that included Olympic gold medallist Nicola Spirig.

Other athletes racing from the Do3 squad were Amy Hinton, Steven Hession, Paul Nash and Andrew White.

Meanwhile, ahead of the 2018 Glasgow ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon European Championships, Do3 has revealed its Age Group athletes who will race on Saturday.

The six-strong team is comprised of athletes who have formally qualified as the quickest in their age group and draws on familiar Do3 faces Seanin Gilmore, Sonya Tate, Corinne Moss, Mel Knight, Kate Miller and Jonathan Ward.

Do3 head coach, Dave Knight, said: “St Moritz is known as the home of the triathlon as it draws the very best athletes to train in the very best conditions.

“The squad took part in one of the most competitive fields and I’m delighted at their results.

“We’ve more to come in Glasgow and I wish everyone racing the best of luck in another tough field. This has been a stand-out year for Do3 and it’s down to the commitment and resilience each person has shown.”
