SOMETHING has to give at Old Stratford Road on Saturday when form teams Alcester Town and Redditch Borough go head-to-head in the quarter-finals of the Challenge Vase.

Both sides are flying high in Midland League Division Three having won their previous four matches.

In Saturday’s other quarter-final, FC Stratford, who ended a five-game winless run against Boldmere last weekend, face a tough trip to Northfield Town.

The winners face a trip to Smithswood Firs in the semi-finals.

In Midland League Division One, Southam United hit rock bottom last weekend and Saints supporters will be hoping their new management team of James Keller and Alex Baird and Joe Featherstone can help them turn the corner.

Southam head to fellow strugglers Bolehall Swifts.

In-form Racing Club Warwick, who have scored 12 in their last three outings, welcome Littleton to Townsend Meadow.

Studley face a tough trip to title-chasing Coventry United.

Midland League Division Two basement club Earlswood Town, who have not scored in more than five hours of football, travel to Paget Rangers.

In Midland League Division Three, Shipston Excelsior look to follow up last weekend’s 3-2 victory at AFC Solihull with victory over Boldmere Sports & Social Falcons at London Road.

A close game looks in store at Main Road where 11-placed Burntwood host 10-placed Badsey Rangers.
