ALCESTER Town player-boss James Robbins says the club must view every game as a cup final if they are to achieve their dreams of winning promotion to Midland League Division Two.

Town went out of the Challenge Vase at the semi-final stage last weekend and their attention quickly switches back to league matters, where they face two very tough tests over the Easter weekend.

Robbins’ men take on fellow promotion contenders Leamington Hibernian on Saturday, before heading to league leaders Redditch Borough on Easter Monday.

“I have always said the league is our priority,” said Robbins.

“We look forward to having a stronger squad this weekend and we have nine cup finals to look forward to.

“Yes, it would have been nice to get through to the final but we have to put it behind us and we look forward to this weekend.”

FC Stratford, who also went out of the Vase last Saturday, can close the gap on the top two should they beat Inkberrow at home.

Stratford follow it up with a trip to bottom club AFC Solihull on Monday.

Shipston Excelsior aim to secure their fourth win on the trot on Saturday when they entertain Enville Athletic. Steve Hedderman's men then tackle Boldmere Sports & Social Falcons on Monday, a side they beat 4-1 at London Road last weekend.

Badsey Rangers lost 7-0 to Redditch in midweek and will look to bounce back in their home game against Burntwood. They follow it up with an Easter Monday visit to Enville Athletic.

There’s a big game at the bottom of Midland League Division One as Stafford Town, back in danger, face bottom club Southam United at Evans Park.

Resurgent Bolehall Swifts have found form just when it was needed and they welcome another in- form side, Racing Club Warwick to Rene Road.

Leaders Bromsgrove Sporting face a tricky afternoon at the Beehive against Studley, while Littleton entertain Nuneaton Griff.

On Easter Monday, Southam host Studley while Racing Club Warwick go to Coventry Copsewood.

In Midland League Division Two, bottom side Earlswood Town take on 11th-placed Knowle at The Pavilions.
