STRATFORD Town striker Ben Stephens has secured a dream move to EFL League Two side Macclesfield Town.

The 20-year-old has signed a two-year contract at Moss Rose, becoming the club's fourth addition of the summer.

Stephens moves to the Silkmen after an extremely successful 2017/18 campaign at Stratford, in which he scored 25 goals and scooped four end-of-season awards.

The switch comes after Stephens featured in trials for several Championship clubs, while he also participated in the Jamie Vardy V9 Academy earlier this month.

Stephens said: "I'm buzzing to sign my first professional contract with Macclesfield Town in League Two. I can't wait to meet all the lads and get started for pre-season.

"I want to thank everyone at Stratford Town for the chance to play regular senior football and I wish them all the best in the future."
