Leeson in as duo exit the Bards

FORMER Bristol City youngster and Wales u18 international Harry Leeson has joined Stratford Town after starting the season with Southern League Premier Central neighbours Redditch United.

And in a busy week for the Bards, two other players have left the club with another going out on loan. Striker Tyrell Hamilton has moved to Barwell, winger Will Bapaga has also left the club while Andre Wright has linked up with Stafford Rangers for a month, the club managed by Town’s former assistant manager Dale Belford.

Leeson can play either in defence or midfield and will go into the squad for Saturday’s trip to Royston Town.

Head coach Paul Davis said: “We think Harry could be one for the future, someone who could play one or two levels above. He has come in to strengthen the squad and its helpful when you have players who can play in more than one position.

It means we have more competition for places so the lads know that they have to be on the money to keep their place.

“We are sorry to lose Ty and Will but we understand that they want to play and that opportunity isn’t there at Stratford at the moment because of the quality we have in those positions.

“Andre has been at Bedworth for a month and has agreed to spending a month with Stafford.”
