Indoor PBs and medals for Stratford Boat Club

THERE were three personal bests and two medals for the depleted Stratford BC participation squad who were competing at Hartpury College in the last indoor event of the year.

The squad was down on numbers due to a clash with half-term. However, the all-female squad of Annie Silvers, Emma Francioni, Estelle Littleford and Kate Currow travelled to Gloucester to build on their fine performances at Worcester last time out.

Along with three personal bests for the team, Silvers picked up a bronze medal with a well-timed race, while Francioni rowed well to claim silver in her event.

Due to a lack of competitors, the relay races were scrapped.

Participation coach Richard Johnson said: “Considering how little time the squad have to train compared to their competitors, they were rightly pleased with their morning’s work.”
