There’s a lot on the line for Saturday’s four-hour race as Wendy Ellis-Smith, 46, and Paul Ellis-Smith, 56, put their long-term relationship to one side in a bid to prove who is faster out on track.

Wendy and Paul have been married for nine years and, having raced against each other before on motorbikes, there’s always been a competitive nature between the pair of them.

It will be a Fun Cup first when the couple lock horns at the Norfolk circuit and Wendy admits she’s not going to be afraid to “get the elbows out” should Paul try to overtake her.

Wendy, who has recently become a member of the British Women Racing Drivers Club, will be part of the new all-female GiTi Radial Tyres team, while Paul competes for Fuelled Up Racing, who are currently 15th in the overall standings with 182 points after four rounds.
