Hurren ready to wield the axe ahead of Woking friendly

IT is decision time for Stratford Town manager Gavin Hurren as he looks to trim his squad ahead of Saturday’s friendly at home to National League side Woking.

The Bards go into the game – and Tuesday’s match with Gresley Rovers – with a win and a defeat to their name which has given the boss food for thought.

“I need to narrow down the squad now,” Hurren said. “We have 23 or 24 players involved at the moment and they’ve had a good few sessions and a couple of games for us to have a look. I will be having conversations with a few and some will be moving on – but that’s football. People have had enough time to showcase what they can do.
