Hurley celebrates as Catchin Time triumphs again
Conditional jockey Kieron Edgar, who is attached to the West Country yard of David Pipe, was in the saddle, having also won on the horse at Plumpton last February.
Last season’s hat-trick had seen Catchin Time’s handicap rating rise from 82 to 104 and he struggled to get his head in front when having to contest better class races.
But, the handicapper relented by dropping him 7lbs to a level just below his last winning effort and Catchin Time took full advantage to win by eight lengths from Pret a Thou.
Given his preference for soft ground, Hurley is looking to strike whilst the iron is hot and Catchin Time runs again in the 1.30 race at Towcester this afternoon.
