STRATFORD AC created history in the first fixture of the Birmingham Cross Country League when they had two runners finishing in the top five of a senior men’s cross-country league race for the first time.

Rich Shephard and Josh Newman took fourth and fifth places respectively at Cob House Country Park near Worcester.

Stratford’s A team finished seventh on the day in Division Two and the B team were also seventh in their competition.

In the Midland Women’s Cross Country League, Stratford were 15 in Division One in their opening round at Coundon Hall Park in Coventry.
