Jake Hill races for the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport team in the BTCC Championship for the last time at Brands Hatch

The final three races of the 2025 KwikFit BTCC Championship were held on the iconic Brands Hatch Grand Prix circuit.

For Jake Hill and the Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport team, it was the last race of the partnership as Hill is moving onto another series in Europe.

Hill was hoping for a successful swansong and took a fine sixth place in qualifying but disaster struck in race one as he suffered a puncture early on and finished in a lowly 19th.

Race two was an overtaking masterclass from Hill, starting from 19th as he rose to seventh place.

Hill left the BTCC on a high in race three when he took an emotional third place at his home circuit.

Mikey Doble and Nick Halstead are still finding the sweet spot of their Seat Cupras.

Doble took 14th overall and was third in the Independents class in race one, leaving him 10 points adrift of the Independents leader with two races on the day remaining.

He was 14th again in race two and runners-up in the Independents class to close the gap to eight points.

But the final race saw Doble finish third in the Independents class to narrowly miss out on the title by four points.

It was still an incredible effort by Doble and the team following the catastrophic loss of their cars just after mid-season in their factory inferno.

Halstead rounded off his season with a couple of top-20 places.
