ALCESTER Town manager Danny Janes saluted Chris Lowe’s consistency after the defender was named Player of the Month.

After impressing in the heart of defence and making three appearances in the month, Lowe collected most votes from players, staff and club directors to take the November accolade

Boss Janes believes Lowe, a summer signing from Fairfield Villa, is now starting to become a leader on the pitch as Alcester look to push for promotion in Midland League, Division Three.

“Chris’ performances in November have been outstanding. He is an aggressive defender who is great at winning the ball and dominating opposition forwards,” said Janes.

“Technically he is excellent. He has a great clip in him and he likes to play out from the back which is our playing philosophy.

“The consistency in his performances has been the stand out point for me. I can’t remember the last time he had an average game. He has really settled into the team, Chris is starting to become a leader on the pitch which is great to see.”

Alcester meet AFC Solihull in the Challenge Vase this Saturday at Stratford Road.
