Fuller’s double joy as Bees sign off at home





STUDLEY rounded off their home Midland Football League Premier Division fixtures with a 3-0 victory over Uttoxeter Town on Saturday.

Bailey Fuller struck twice just before half-time to hand his side a two-goal interval lead with substitute Jamal Adams adding the third 13 minutes from time.

The win means the Bees are third going into their final two matches which would mean a home tie in the end of season play-offs.

Mike Fowler’s side are back in action tonight (Thursday) when they take on basement club Bewdley Town in a game that has been switched to Solihull Moors’ ground (ko 7.45pm). On Saturday, they are on the road again with a trip to Lichfield City.

In Division Two, Alcester Town’s bid for a top three finish suffered a set-back after being held to a 1-1 draw at bottom of the table Littleton on Saturday, Jake Wicketts on target for the Romans.

The Stratford Road side were due to host AFC Coventry Rangers last night (Wednesday) before heading to Earlswood Town on Saturday.

Jacob Williams scored the game’s only goal of the game and Jon Hill’s side will be hoping to edge closer to a top five finish when they host Newent Town on Saturday.

League rivals Southam United play their final match at Stonehouse Town on Saturday fresh from a 1-1 draw at Shortwood United at the weekend when Craig Watkin was on the scoresheet.

Moreton Rangers will aim to halt a winless run dating back to before Christmas when they round off their campaign at Kidlington Reserves on Tuesday.
