STRATFORD kept their Midlands 1 West play-off hopes alive with a convincing 35-13 victory over league leaders Bridgnorth at Pearcecroft on Saturday.

The Black and Whites scored five tries through Nick Taylor, Sam Kirby, Nath Geekie, Andy Conway and Jo Cook as the visitors crashed to only their third defeat this season.

Geekie converted all five tries on another flawless day with the boot.

“This game meant far more to us than Bridgnorth,” said Stratford director of rugby, Tom Rance.

“We wanted it more than them in defence and it also comes down to taking your opportunities. We’ve put in a very complete performance.”

Stratford remain third in Midlands 1 West after play-off rivals Bournville thrashed Walsall 63-12.
