CARL Adams admitted defender Guy Clark will be ‘massively missed’ after leaving Stratford Town to join Bromsgrove Sporting.

Clark has ended a four-year spell with Town, having been instrumental in their play-off winning side of 2015 to follow winning the Midland Alliance.

Injury meant he had to miss Town’s first season in Southern Premier, but he returned last term and he has figured in every match-day squad this season, starting twice.

But Town boss Adams explained the 25-year-old has changed jobs which will limit his availability so he wanted to play in a more local league. Midland League premier side Bromsgrove, says Adams, have signed a quality player and great character.

“Guy will be massively missed because he is a good player and a great lad in the dressing room,” said Adams.

“He has been with me for four years and I’ve nothing but success with him. I wish him all the best at Bromsgrove.

“Guy wants to play. He has got himself a new job which I don’t think will allow him to do the long journeys in midweek which we have to do.”

Clark made 114 appearances for Town, scoring five goals.
