European medal delight for triathletes

TWO Stratford athletes celebrated medal success after competing in the European Triathlon Championships in Lisbon.

Sara Northover, from Snitterfield, took gold in the sprint event for the 50-54 age group, while Corinne Moss, competing in her first European Championships, returned home with the silver medal in the standard distance section in the 40-44 age group.

Northover is now setting her sights on the European Aquathon Championships in France later this month, while Moss is targeting the World Championships qualifier at Rutland Water in a fortnight.
