EDWIN Ahenkorah has become the latest player to leave Stratford Town after signing for Southern League Premier Central rivals Rushall Olympic.

It brings an end to four successful seasons with the club, during which time he played 113 games, scoring 36 goals.

Ahenkorah, who struggled with numerous injuries during his time at Knights Lane, played in all six of Town's league games this season, starting four of them.

The 24-year-old played his first game for the Pics on Tuesday night, coming on as a second-half substitute in a 4-3 defeat at Redditch United.

He becomes the second Town stalwart to leave the club inside a week, after defender Dan Summerfield departed for Redditch in search of first-team football.
