Derby tussle finishes with honours even

EXHALL and Wixford skipper Sam Smith admitted his blood pressure had soared after his side were involved in a Cotswold Hills League Premier Division thriller against neighbours Alcester and Ragley.

After posting 247/7 from their 50 overs, the home side then looked to stamp home their advantage after taking two early Ragley wickets only to be thwarted by a team anxious for points to pull away from the foot of the table.

The game went to the final over with the visitors needing eight to win. They fell just short and a single off the final ball tied the game.
