Cotswold Cup glory for Shipston Angling Club

SHIPSTON AC won the annual Cotswold Cup held at Bourton-on-the-Water.

Hosted by Moreton AC, the match featured ten anglers from four teams (Moreton, Burford, Shipston and Norgren) who competed for silverware.

The contest could have gone either way with some anglers catching bream consistently while the rest struggled for bites.

However, Shipston came out on top with three section wins, five section second places and two section third places.

There was further joy for the club as Andy Bruce was the overall winner with 83lb of bream.

Gary Didcock (Shipston) was second with 77lb and Richard Rouse (Norgren) finished third with 73lb.
