Plenty of tournament success for Stratford Town Colts
STRATFORD Town Colts have enjoyed plenty of success in youth football tournaments over the past couple of weeks.
At the weekend’s Alcester Town youth competition, the U11s followed up their Central Warwickshire Youth League Trophy success by beating Ashton 88 Wasps 1-0 on Saturday.
The U9 Knights won their respective final 2-1, coming from behind to beat Bidford Juniors on Father’s Day. The U14s lost to Leek Wootton’s Midland Junior Premier League side in the dying seconds, while the U9s, managed by James Pritchard, bravely moved up an age group but lost out in the U10 final.
The previous weekend saw the U9s win the Stratford Town tournament, with the U14s winning the Inkberrow competition on the same day.
Colts chairman Paul Salter said: “Our many successes this season are a testament to our dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly behind the scenes, especially our experienced managers and coaches. Stratford Town Colts are a registered charity and also an FA chartered community club, with over 350 registered players, from U8 to U18 with FA accredited managers at all age groups.”
