Campaign opens with derby clash at Edgbaston
BIRMINGHAM Phoenix’s 2025 campaign will get underway this summer with one of the biggest games in The Hundred fixture schedule – a fiercely fought derby against local rivals Trent Rockets.
The men’s and women’s sides will meet at Edgbaston on 8th August for a Friday night double header under the lights.
It’s the first of four home games for the Phoenix, followed by the visit of Oval Invincibles on Tuesday 12th August, London Spirit on Sunday 17th August, and Welsh Fire on Friday 22nd August.
Phoenix Men – coached again by New Zealand legend Dan Vettori – will be fighting to go one step further in 2025 after the agony of an Eliminator defeat last summer.
England Men’s all-rounder Liam Livingstone, who played in the inaugural final of The Hundred with Phoenix and has been retained for 2025, said: “I can’t wait to be back in the orange of Phoenix in front of our fans at Edgbaston.
“It’s a great stadium to play at and I love playing in The Hundred. We were so close last year so hopefully we’ll go one step further and lift the trophy and give the people of Birmingham something to get excited about this summer.”
Phoenix Women – led this season by Bears Women Head Coach Ali Maiden – will be determined to bounce back to winning ways after a disappointing campaign last year.
Edgbaston has seen record crowds for the recent editions, with the opener selling out in both of the last two years. This year, it’s the local derby so not to be missed.
There will be an exclusive window open to fans who have previously bought tickets to The Hundred from 4-18 March. All other fans who would like to access priority tickets can enter the priority sale window from 1-15 April by signing up in advance at thehundred.com. Remaining tickets will go on general sale from 17 April.
Tickets continue to be great value, with prices set at £5 for juniors aged 3-15 (free for under 3s) and adults starting from £14.
