WINGER Callum Powell has left Stratford Town to sign for Southern League Premier Central Division rivals Stourbridge.

The 22-year-old only joined Stratford in the summer, following his release from Tamworth at the end of last season.

He played just two league games for Darren Byfield's side, including a 3-0 defeat at Stourbridge, where he caught the eye of Glassboys manager Gary Hackett.

"I want to thank everybody at Stratford for my time there," said Powell, who hails from Coventry.

"It is a fantastic bunch of lads and Darren (Byfield) and Steve (Walker) were brilliant with me from the start. I'd like to wish everyone at the club and the fans the best for the rest of the season."
