Bolton bags a hat-trick in Stratford’s derby day win

STRATFORD director of rugby Richard Pepperell wants his side to build on their derby day victory over Shipston.

The Black-and-Whites ran out 39-29 winners, helped by a Chris Bolton hat-trick, but the Pearcecroft chief said: “It’s important what happens now as we go forward. I’m over the moon that we’ve won but that’s no good to us if we don’t follow it up. This must be the beginning of something.

“After 60 minutes I felt it was closer than it should have been because our indiscipline had let them back in – but that’s a derby game for you so I’m not overly surprised.”
