This year’s regatta will take place on Saturday, 18th June and it’s a welcome return to the Stratford Boat Club calendar after they were forced to hold smaller events in September because of restrictions.

Racing starts at 8am from the weir to the club grounds on the town stretch of the River Avon. Spectators can take in the races from the club grounds, the Recreation Ground and Bancroft Gardens.

There will also be a tea tent, catering wagon and bar in the club grounds.

Treasurer Paul Hazelwood said: “As a local community club, we rely on the support and help of local Warwickshire companies to sponsor our regatta to make it financially viable and not a drain on our resources.

“There are so many costs to staging a regatta and Stratford Self Store’s sponsorship helps us to cover most of these.”

President Paul Stanton added: “It’s going to be a great day, giving us a chance to showcase our sport not only to Stratford and Warwickshire residents, but also to visitors to our town.

“We are so grateful to Stratford Self Store for their sponsorship.”
