WARWICKSHIRE Bears signed off a memorable season by winning the bronze medal play-off in the National Championships Play-offs.

The Bears, the Division One South champions, had been edged out by CWSC Panthers 63-62 in the semis, with Dan Gill’s shot running around the Panthers’ basket with the very last play.

But the Warwickshire side recovered to defeat London Titans 2, their closest rivals in Division One South, 55-46 in the bronze medal match.

Gill and Jacob Robinson both secured 16 points closely followed by Ben Haigh on 12 points.
