WARWICKSHIRE Bears coach Tom Masterson dedicated his team’s National League Division One South victory over Exeter Otters to the much-loved Paul Jackson.

Paul, one of the Bears’ longest-serving players, passed away last Friday after a short illness.

Ahead of the game, both teams came together for a minute’s applause to celebrate the life of a popular player.

The Bears went on to record an impressive 54-36 win and head coach, Tom Masterson, said: “The game was a tough one in that we had only just learnt of the loss of PJ.

“All of the players were very sombre. I think their fantastic performance was in honor of him and shows how much he was loved and respected.”

The Bears return to action when Bears 1 and 2 travel to Littlehampton on the south coast to face Tornados 1 and 2 on Sunday, 25th February.
