Bards beat storm and visiting Saints

STRATFORD Town came away with all three points in a match that was lucky to be played after the wrath of Storm Babet that had hit the night before, reports Danny Godfrey.

Bards keeper Liam O’Brien commemorated his 100th game for the club, and was presented with a bottle of champagne before the game presented by owner Jed McCrory.

The first half was an open display, with both teams creating their fair share of chances. A Tom Solanke cross was headed wide by Callum Ebanks with St Ives dangerman Tiago Nassunculo striking the base of the Bards upright.
