Stratford's Lucas Blantford nominated for Downforce Radio's U13 driver of the year award

KARTER Lucas Blantford feels like “he has already won” after being considered for Downforce Radio’s U13 driver of the year award.
The 12-year-old from Stratford has been left overwhelmed by the nomination in what is his first year of racing.
Stratford School pupil Blantford, who is making the step up to Mini Max for the new season, said on Facebook: “[I’m] totally overwhelmed to have been nominated for best U13 driver of 2021 for the Downforce Radio annual awards.
“To be nominated for this is unreal as it’s only my first year racing.
“I feel like I’ve won already just to be considered [as one of] the top ten drivers in the country.”
