ALCESTER Town Under-14 Juniors were crowned Ambassador Evesham League U14 Pool A champions following title rivals Stratford Town’s defeat to Meadow Park.

The Juniors had already completed their league fixtures and topped the table by two points ahead of Stratford’s last match who needed a win to pip Alcester to the title.

Adding the league title has capped an excellent season for the U14 Juniors who had already claimed the U14 Cup last month following a 4-1 victory over Stratford Town. During the season the team lost only one match which was their first league defeat in 36 matches a run that stretched back to May 2016.

“Adding the league title and achieving the double is a tremendous feat, it’s a testament to the talented bunch of players that I have the privilege of managing,” said manager Steve McAdam.
