Alcester look to new signing Hall to make a big impression

ALCESTER Town boss Stuart Hall predicted new signing Stuart Hall will be ‘frightening in this league'.
Janes knows all about the striker’s prowess, having played alongside him at Feckenham, and he revealed he had tried to recruit him before the season started. However, Hall, whose impressive CV includes spells at Halesowen Town, Bromsgrove Sporting, Malvern Town and Pershore Town has joined from Fairfield Villa.
“I played with Stu for various years at Feckenham, he was the talisman in that team and a real focal point. He is a proven goal scorer in Division One and Two, he will be frightening in this league. Not only will his goals be fundamental to the team, but his overall play.
“He is fantastic at holding the ball and bringing people into play, he is a player I admire and I am delighted we have finally got him.”
Janes had been chasing Hall during pre-season but was unsuccessful – and though an extra forward had not been a current priority it was too good a chance to ignore.
“We tried to get Stu during pre-season, but he was happy where he was. At this point I have to admit we were not really looking to improve our attacking options, but when a player of his quality is available you can’t say no.
“It also means we can be more versatile with our attacking options, we lack wide attacking players at the moment due to injuries so with Stu signing, and we can employ others in various areas if we need too.”
