Adams wants to see consistency

That ended a four-match unbeaten run but left Adams scratching his head as to how the team which defeated Coventry City in the Birmingham Senior Cup could perform so poorly just three days later.

“I still think we will have more good times than bad but we’re still looking for that consistency,” he said.

“The players know I’m disappointed. They are just making it difficult for me to get a settled team because their performances are up and down.”

Victory over Kettering last month was one of the highs so far this season but both Adams and counterpart Marcus Law will utilise their squads tonight.

Town are expected to hand Richard Gregory a starting role tonight, while youngsters Jamie Cutts and Charlie Faulkner are also set to feature.

Midfielders Aaron Moses-Garvey and Simeon Tulloch will also return after missing the last two games.

But Alex Price will not feature as he recovers from an ankle injury sustained against the Sky Blues.

Tonight's winners will be away to Hitchin Town, who defeated Bedford 3-2 with an injury-time winner last night.
