Adams set for GB call-up after claiming national tennis title

Adams is now hoping his victory will be enough to convince selectors to name him in the Great Britain squad for the World Championships in Finland.

“I’ll hopefully get picked for the World Championships,” said Adams.

“I’d be very surprised if I didn’t get in the team, having won this tournament.

“I knew I’d stand a chance of winning it in my first year.

“I hadn’t played much tennis last year, but this year I’m anticipating that I’ll play a bit more.”
