WIN: Overnight stay and dinner for two at Cotswold hotel

SET in an 18th-century Cotswold-stone townhouse, The Kings Hotel is a characterful hotel in the heart of the picturesque market town of Chipping Campden.

And this week the Herald has teamed up with the team at The Kings to offer one lucky reader an overnight stay for two people including a delicious three-course dinner at the Jackrabbit Restaurant and full English breakfast the following morning.

Boutique bedrooms are distinctive and stylish, while the cosy Jackrabbit Restaurant has recently been awarded 3 AA Rosettes for the quality of its cuisine and the high standards of service. The hotel is defined by its eclectic style, noticeable throughout the fourteen delightful bedrooms located in the main house, each designed with traditional Cotswold charm and a contemporary twist.

A further five cottage bedrooms are located in the surrounding gardens, decorated to the highest standard with beautiful furnishings and lavish bathrooms. Golden stone, exposed beams and a vast candle-strewn open fireplace set the scene for an evening of intimate dining at The Jackrabbit Restaurant.

Modern re-interpretations of classic British dishes are lovingly crafted under the watchful eye of Head Chef Greg Newman, who strives to include only the highest quality local ingredients. Specialities include Rump & shoulder of Warwickshire lamb, courgette & basil, tomato fregola, black olive and Yorkshire fettle and Barbecued aubergine feta mousse, pickled watermelon and wild rice.

An impressive selection of wines and local ales are available at the warm and welcoming bar, a relaxed Cotswold hideaway where atmospheric lighting and a roaring log burner create a relaxed and cosy atmosphere.

There are daily papers and traditional pub games, perfect for unwinding after walking the Cotswold Way, and many bespoke shops to explore on Chipping Campden’s charming high street.

To be in with a chance of winning this fantastic prize, just pick up your copy of the Stratford Herald this week for details of how to enter.
