Wilmcote Primary School joins multi-academy trust

WILMCOTE CofE Primary School has officially become part of the Stour Federation Multi Academy Trust.

The trust already oversees four other primary schools and has been supporting Wilmcote since last November.

Headteacher Anita Twyman said: “We are delighted to have now officially joined the Stour Federation Multi Academy Trust in a move which will greatly benefit our pupils, staff, parents and the larger school community.

“While key aspects of our school will stay the same, the trust will support us to continue our curriculum journey. This collaboration will echo the commitment we have to ensure that our children develop and achieve to their full potential, as well as building on the strong family atmosphere and sense of community that we are so proud of.’’

The school’s last Ofsted inspection in May 2022 produced a mixture of ‘good’ and ‘requires improvement’ results. The quality of education was rated as ‘requires improvement’.

Christian Hilton, chief executive of the Stour Federation Multi Academy Trust, added:

“We are thrilled to have welcomed Wilmcote into our trust.

“The school is well respected in the local community and has a strong reputation for caring for its pupils and families. We are pleased to see this move has received such positive support from parents, staff and the whole community.

“At the Stour Federation, we are committed to providing support and fostering collaboration among small schools that share our values of instilling ambition in our learners and equipping them to flourish.”
