Watch the Herald's EU debate live online tonight
The Herald’s hotly anticipated EU debate is set to be broadcast live on our website tonight as a high profile panel of experts prepare to discuss the issue.
The two-hour Question Time-style debate will take place at Stratford ArtsHouse and will be chaired by former BBC journalist Will Hanrahan between 7 and 9pm.
The panel arguing in favour of Brexit will be Lord Digby Jones, a former Director General of the Confederation of British Industry, and former Trade and Industry Minister; Johnnie Arkwright, owner of the Hatton Estate and chairman of pro-Brexit group, Business for Britain; and motoring journalist and Stratford resident, Quentin Willson.
Those arguing in favour of staying will be Philip Bushill-Matthews, former West Midlands MEP for 10 years; Nick Thomas, business advisor and marketing consultant to UK and international companies; and translator Ingrid Stevens, a German citizen living in the UK, who fears for the future of her livelihood should the Brexit campaign prove successful.
All 400 tickets to the debate have already been snapped up.
It is the second live debate the Herald has organised. A sell-out audience of 150 people were at Stratford College in April last year for our General Election Hustings with hundreds more watching online.
The Herald will be collecting donations for the Stratford Cancer and Eye Hospital Appeal at tonight’s event.
