AN Ettington businesswoman hopes to raise £7,500 through three physical challenges including her first ever Olympic distance triathlon to benefit the Stour Valley Baptist Church.

Cara Reynolds, who runs Cara Hair Lounge, a salon in Ettington, has raised £1,991.

She finished the Brighton Marathon on 15 April, her first ever marathon, and finished with a time of 3 hours and 54 minutes. She had the Blenheim Triathlon Sprint Distance on 3 June and has the Windsor Olympic Distance Triathlon this weekend on Sunday 17 June.

The money raised will go toward funding a part-time children’s worker at the Stour Valley Baptist Church in Shipston. Anyone interested in contributing can do so via the Justgiving site set up at: www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/cara-reynolds?utm_id=2&utm_term=22ZKav8kP

Cara said: “This was my first Marathon in Brighton and my first ever Olympic Distance triathlon. I would dearly love to dedicate these challenges to Stour Valley Baptist Church. My children and I have benefited hugely from the children's work over the years and we would love to bless others with these experiences too.”
