VIDEO: Prince Charles visits New Place and Holy Trinity Church

A sea of smiling faces greeted Prince Charles when he visited New Place and Holy Trinity Church on Saturday, as the world’s attention focussed on Stratford.

The Prince took time to chat with Dr Diana Owen, Chief Executive of the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, as he took a look at work currently ongoing to transform New Place.

Following this the Prince was taken on a tour of Holy Trinity Church where he met local school children and laid a wreath of rosemary on Shakespeare’s grave.
