A lorry driver has appeared in court charged over the death of young mum Rachael Martin.

The victim of a fatal collision in Stratford on Friday has been named by police.

Rachael Martin, aged 29, of Elm Road in Stratford, died as a result of a collision with a car transporter on Western Road at about 8.45am.

A five-year-old girl suffered serious pelvic injuries and was airlifted to Birmingham Children's Hospital where she is still undergoing treatment. Her condition remains stable.

A seven-year-old girl who was walking with the woman and five-year-old was not injured in the collision.
