Vehicle crashes into deer then tree




A LAND Rover crashed into a tree, after hitting a deer, on the B4455 Fosse Way, near Moreton Morrell, this morning (Sunday).

West Midlands Ambulance Service, an air ambulance, Warwickshire Police and fire crews from Wellesbourne and Leamington fire stations attended the collision, which happened shortly after 9.15am.

The Fosse Way was closed between Compton Verney and Moreton Paddox.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue said: “Upon arrival, firefighters found one Land Rover on the roadway that had been in collision with a tree. The vehicle had been in collision with a deer prior to hitting a tree.

“Two casualties were involved, one male was assisted from the vehicle prior to the arrival of the Fire Service and one female was released from the vehicle using clan lucas cutting equipment. Fire crews were detained for just over one hour.”
