UPDATED Flood warnings removed, but more rain on the way

FLOOD warnings that were put in place on rivers in south Warwickshire after persistent rain on Friday and Saturday have been withdrawn.

The River Alne at Chapel Lane and Church Lane in Aston Cantlow and Great Alne, the Dene at Walton, and the Blythe at Earlswood are all under warnings.

Flood alerts remain in place on the Avon through Warwickshire, as well as the Leam and Itchen, and River Evenlode in Moreton in Marsh.

On Saturday, police also issued warnings of flooded roads in Alcester Road through Great Alne and Wootton Wawen, Hockley Road in Shrewley, and Dark Lane in Hatton.

The ford in Kenilworth was also said to be impassable.

Yellow weather warnings remain in place by the Met Office for rain on Sunday and Monday.
