UPDATE: Woman treated for serious head injury on Evesham Road

A woman in her 70s has suffered a serious head injury following a fall on the forecourt of a Stratford garage this afternoon.

The incident occurred at the Shell Garage on Evesham Road at around midday.

The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance landed close to the scene at the Paddock, whilst a land ambulance and a community paramedic attended at the garage.

Two police cars were also sent to the incident and the entrance and exits to the garage were closed while the emergency services treated the woman.

The casualty was suffering from a slightly reduced level of consciousness and was airlifted to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.
