Two teenagers arrested after suspected hammer attack in Warwick puts 17-year-old in hospital
A 17-year-old boy remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital after a suspected hammer attack in Warwick on Saturday (16th September) afternoon.
Warwickshire Police said today (Sunday) that two teenagers – one 16 and the other 18 – have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
The incident happened at about 3.50-3.55pm in Tapping Way.
Police were called at 4.53pm following reports that the boy had collapsed a short distance away in Coten End.
Paramedics administered first aid at the scene before taking the victim to hospital.
Detective Sergeant Oli Scarisbrick from Warwickshire Police CID said: “We’d like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident or has any CCTV, dash cam or doorbell footage from the area around the time of the attack. It happened in daylight close to a bus route so we’re hopeful people will have information crucial to our enquiries.”
