THREE local businesses have scooped three top awards in the 2017 Coventry and Warwickshire SME Business Awards.

Aladdins Indian Dining in Tiddington has been chosen as Restaurant of the Year, The Old Thatch Tavern in Stratford is winner of the Pub of the Year and Purity Brewing Company based at Great Alne is now Business of the Year – with less than 50 employees.

Ala Uddin, owner of Aladdins said the award was a fantastic tribute to his team.

“We are all winners. Our diners, our customers and our staff are the real winners. We opened in 1994 and have built the business up over the years so it’s great to be recognised,” Ala Uddin said.

Sandie Coleman, proprietor and licensee of The Old Thatch Tavern was also celebrating being an award winner with her small but dedicated team of staff.

Sean Davies, general manager at The Thatch said: “We’ve got a great team here and the customers also make it happen as well so a big thank you to everyone,” Sean said.
