THE Post Office branch in Stratford-upon-Avon town centre is set to close for a fortnight-long refurbishment, tomorrow (Tuesday 29th March) at 5.30pm. The service will be relaunched at 1pm on Monday 11th April.

The branch will open from 8.30am until 5.30pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am until 4pm on Sunday – the same opening hours that are currently operated.

The service will be provided from seven counter positions, including six new style open-plan counters and one secure fortress position.

Sarah Cottrell, Post Office area manager said: “We are making it easier for customers to get their cash, send and collect their mail and do their banking because we know how important these services are to local residents.

“We are confident that this vibrant new style Post Office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”

She added: “This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and will secure services for the future.”

During the short period of closure, services may be accessed from any Post Office branch, including Stars News, in Birmingham Road, One Stop, in Drayton Avenue, and Tiddington Convenience Stores, in Main Street, Tiddington.
