Three tonne straw fire near Alcester

WARWICKSHIRE Fire Control received a call to a large amount of straw on fire on the Alcester to Great Alne Road near Alcester at 2.30 pm on Thursday.
A fire engine from Alcester Fire Station was mobilised. Upon arrival, fire fighters found approximately three tonnes of straw well alight.
Fire crews used hose reels and drag forks to deal with the incident. Crews attended for approximately two and a half hours.
