Thousands of new arrivals in town

Two all-female Leafcutter Ant colonies have taken up residence at Stratford-upon-Avon Butterfly Farm.

Atta cephalotes, to give them their official name, are originally from the rainforests of Trinidad, but these have arrived in Stratford in their hundreds of thousands from Butterfly World in St Albans.

Their population could grow to millions.
