Stratford woman, 34, charged with terror offences over claims she planned to join ISIS




A 34-YEAR-OLD woman from Stratford has been charged with terrorism offences following allegations she was planning to join the terrorist group ISIS.

West Midlands Police said the woman had been charged with two counts of engaging in conduct in preparation for terrorism under section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.

The woman, who has not been named, was alleged to have been planning to travel to Afghanistan to join ISIS. The charges also allege she shared extremist material between 1st September 2022 and 10th January this year.

The woman appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (Tuesday) and was remanded in custody.
